Profitability you control
Mercer offers owner-operators a variety of commodities to haul, including aluminum and metal products, building materials, plastics, machinery, military items, cable and much more. With no forced dispatch, our owner-operators control their profitability with many choices available and ample opportunities to get through the house.

Your own coordinator at the operations center in Louisville, Kentucky
All trucks are assigned a central truck coordinator in Louisville with a dedicated 800 WATS line. Each coordinator assists a team of about 30 trucks on a daily basis. This permits us to coordinate the movement of each owner/operator throughout the Mercer system safely, efficiently and profitably.

Prompt settlement
We pay our owner-operators promptly after each trip. Several payment options are available, including settlement checks, direct deposit and TCH cards.

Mercer operates a network of 80 Terminal/Agent locations throughout the United States and in Canada and Mexico. To view a map of the field office network, click system map.

Your choice of supplemental programs

• "Trip-Pac" express service
• Worker's Compensation (owner may elect not to be covered)

Truck insurance

• No money down on insurance (Collision, comprehensive, fire and theft)
• $500 deductible and $1,000 deductible (Call for quote)
• Non-trucking liability insurance @$15.00 per month, per tractor

Valuable credits (To be used as a credit toward the next year's license period at Mercer)

• Safety credits-Up to $300 per year maximum
• Years of Service credits-Up to $400 per year
  ($100 per year for up to 4 years of continuous service)
• Revenue credits-Up to $300 per year maximum

Fuel rebates (To be used as a credit toward the next year's license period)

• Rebates range from 1.5¢ to 5¢ per gallon

Fleet & driver opportunities
If you have a fleet of trucks, you can lease to Mercer even if some don't have drivers. And, if you're a good driver, it's likely we know of a fleet that leases to us that would welcome your services.

Licensing options
We have various fleet options available. Contact our recruiting department for more detailed information. If you have your own license plate, it can be used to expiration. After that, you will need to buy our tag because we pay for fuel and mile taxes without chargebacks.
